And one for the road

July 2nd, 2009

Someone once said that all good things come in three, which is probably why in fairytales there’s always three wishes to be had, three daughters or three pumpkins. And that is why I have to have at least three posts on my site.

It also has something to do with the fact that I have to check the next and previous article links, and the only way two will appear, is when there are at least three articles, so that is a pretty compelling reason in and of itself too. Well, this should be enough rambling to look somewhat decently so far!

Progress

July 2nd, 2009

So, having a bit of time and inclination to fiddle around with this again, and I’ve managed to unbreak what I broke last week, which is a good thing™, and now I have another good few things to adjust to fit into the design properly, but one of those requires me to have more than one post, so I should probably add another one.

You know, like this one. Which is mainly why I am writing this, because I really don’t have much to say yet and in the end I’ll end up deleting these entries again anyway to make some proper ones when the actual layout is finished. Did you know for example there currently is a talking kangaroo on my TV screen right now? Bet you didn’t!

A very new blog

June 20th, 2009

Hello world! Or so the traditional first blog entry went. Well, this all seems to be up and running just fine, now I just have to create a new style from scratch so that my page looks like what it is supposed to look like, which will probably occupy me well until after the release of WordPress 6. Give or take. Time to get cracking, I guess!

Edit: Oh dear god. When I said that editing my site design into a WordPress template was going to take until the release of it’s sixth version, I didn’t know I’d be hitting so close to the truth. Apparently WordPress does like to do a lot of things in its own particular way, and it is somewhat of a nightmare to work around that. Fortunately the documentation is pretty good and helpful so far, but getting everything working is even more work than I thought it’d be!
